Ingredients

 

  • 500g minced meat (chicken, beef or veal)
  • 1 onion
  • half a zucchini
  • half a carrot
  • 1 celery stick
  • 1 egg
  • half cup breadcrumbs
  • 2-3 sheets puff pastry
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 extra beaten egg to brush


Method

 

  1. Place vegetables in a food processor and blitz till it is a pulp (or grate) squeeze out excess juice
  2. Place all other ingredients except puff pastry in a large bowl, add vegetables.
  3. Mix well till combined
  4. Roll meat mixture into long sausage shapes as long as the length of the puff pastry sheets
  5. Place sausage on the puff pastry and roll the pastry to cover the sausage
  6. Cut into quarters
  7. Brush with egg and bake in a hot 0ven (200 degrees) till golden
